Tabreed Bahrain is lead participant and sponsor at BIPEX 2008 Tabreed showcases its efforts in the region’s leading cooling and property events October 27, 2008 Manama, Bahrain – Tabreed Bahrain, the world leader in district cooling, is a leading participant in two of the foremost property and cooling conferences in the region, the Bahrain International Property Exhibition (BIPEX) 2008 and the IDEA International District Cooling Conference (IDEA). Tabreed is also a sponsor of both events. As part of its growth strategy, Tabreed is planning to increase its capital to finance its rapid expansion in the Kingdom. BIPEX 2008 is one of Bahrain’s largest property shows, and an important exhibition of many of Bahrain’s largest and newest construction projects. Examples of large projects that will be on display include Riffa Views, Marina West, and other developments on the North Shore of Bahrain. These projects are widely seen as the beginning of a new chapter in Bahrain’s progress towards being both a leader in business, tourism and real estate construction. “To be a part of BIPEX is a significant honour,” adds Bernt Andersson. “Bahrain is seen by many as having one of the most dynamic and vibrant property markets in the region. Despite global economic turmoil, Bahrain remains a part of the world that is welcoming investment with open arms, and this event demonstrates that. We are proud to play a part in it.” The IDEA event is the region’s leading district cooling conference. The association behind the conference is 100 years old and has long been a proponent of cooling technology throughout the world. This is the third time the conference has been held in Dubai. “Our recent participation in IDEA is part of our effort to maintain our regional and global leadership in cooling technology,” said Bernt Andersson, Chief Executive Officer, Tabreed Bahrain. “The IDEA conference is perhaps the most significant event in the region in regards to district cooling, and as the Gulf’s chief district cooling provider we saw a unique opportunity to showcase both our latest projects and our future plans. As the Gulf continues to develop into one of the world’s leading centres of business, tourism and real estate, the demand for state-of-the-art cooling systems will grow tremendously. An event likes this is important for the benefit of the district cooling industry as a whole, and for the advancement of the underlying technology behind district cooling.” IDEA was held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dubai on October 19-21. BIPEX 2008 will take place at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre on October 23-25.
